Award-winning Newry-born Director Cathy Brady’s debut film Wildfire is touring Northern Ireland as part of a special Film Hub NI Collective
Wildfire is the story of two inseparable sisters Kelly and Lauren whose lives are shattered by the mysterious death of their mother in the fractious border town where they grew up. When Kelly, who has been missing, returns home, the intense bond with her sister is re-ignited and together they unearth their mother’s past, but uncovered secrets and resentments which have been buried deep threaten to overwhelm them. Nora-Jane Noone and the late Nika McGuigan co-star as the two sisters alongside Kate Dickie, Martin McCann and Helen Behan.
Unfortunately we will not be selling tickets t the door. This will not only avoid cash-handling but will also allow us to arrange social distancing seating in the hall according to household groups.
After some confusion we can confirm that proof of covid vaccination will be required for cinemas which even includes our wee operation.
To help us comply with these requirements please present your proof of vaccination on the door at our next event on the 18th. We will accept either proof via the app or with your paper vaccination card plus photo ID.
If you haven't sorted your digital certificate this link is the place to start -

Thank you everyone for your understanding and support.
Long live cinema!!! 🎥🍿💕
We ask that you wear masks when arriving, exiting, and moving about the building. However, you are welcome to remove your mask during the film when seated. As always, if you are exempt from wearing a mask or have needs requiring different face coverings or auditory needs requiring staff to remove their masks, please let us know.
When arriving, we ask that you wait outside the hall in a social distanced queue. We will show your household group to your assigned seats in the hall. Seating may take longer than usual to allow for distancing within the hall. Likewise, exiting may take more time than usual to allow for socially distanced exiting from the building. Please be patient. Thanks.
The town hall has regular sanitising stations on entry and by the hall door. Their staff regularly cleans all touched surfaces and chairs. Bathrooms have been reduced to a single unisex bathroom to allow for adequate cleaning after use. We will be unable to provide our seat cushions because of cleaning needs so feel free to bring your own pillows and cushions to make your viewing more comfortable.
We're always open to suggestions- so if there is a film you missed in the cinema, an old classic you'd love to see on the big screen, or a film that means something to you, let us know!
We are now selling some Picture House merchandise to raise money for our own screening kit. At the moment, we rent out the projector from Film Hub. If we have our own kit, we'll have more flexibility in screening locations and times. Visit us at our film screenings to pick up Picture House goods.
